U.S. Rep. Davidson recently recognized Nick Eyl, Jon Moran, and Jacob Waggoner during a surprise technology assembly at Badin High School in Hamilton, Ohio. The trio created ImpACT, an iPhone app that connects users to local service opportunities, support for local businesses, and a “Rep Connect” feature that allows users to get in touch with their local, state, and federal elected officials.

There was participation from over 190 Members of Congress in which nearly 4,000 students submitted applications from over 42 states.  This is the first year Ohio’s 8th District participated in the CAC since it was first introduced in 2015. Ten teams of 35 students participated in the Ohio 08 District contest.

ImpACT will be featured in the Capitol building and displayed on www.House.gov. Additionally, the ImpACT creators will receive and invitation to the #HouseOfCode reception in spring of 2018 in Washington, DC. Each winner will also receive $250 in Amazon Web Services Credits.

The CAC will announce winners from all participating states on December 10, 2017.
