Washington, D.C. - President Donald Trump announced Judge Neil Gorsuch as his nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States. Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) released the following statement:

“Thankfully, I can only imagine how different this nominee would have been if the people of this country had not elected Donald Trump as our president.  When Justice Scalia died nearly one year ago, Americans knew he would be irreplaceable – certainly for his family, but also for our country. Judge Gorsuch will follow in his footsteps, not only in sequence, but also in his commitment to the principled interpretation of our Constitution.  Words have meaning.  A ‘living Constitution’ is not what our Founding Fathers authored, and with Judge Gorsuch, it is not what we will pass on. I urge swift confirmation.”
