Americans should be in control of their health care, not Washington, insurance companies, or hospital bureaucracies.
The United States provides some of the highest-quality health care in the world, but patients are too often stuck in a confusing and expensive system. Ohioans should know what care will cost before the bill arrives. They should not discover later that someone else paid a different price for the same service.
I support patient-focused reforms that lower costs and make health care work better for families. More competition and more affordable coverage options would help bring costs down without forcing Americans into a one-size-fits-all system.
