WASHINGTON, D.C.— Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) voted in favor of the H.R. 7109, Equal Representation Act, a bill that he co-lead along with Rep. Chuck Edwards and passed the House of Representatives last night. This legislation requires the Census Bureau to include a citizenship question on all future censuses and prohibits all non-citizens from being counted toward Congressional district and Electoral College apportionment.

"The Equal Representation Act puts voting power back in the hands of the American people and ensures the census can't be used to cheat hardworking taxpayers out of the representation they deserve. Members of Congress represent U.S. citizens, not foreigners." said Rep. Warren Davidson. "I am proud of the work my colleague Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC) and I did to pass this legislation in the House of Representatives. I urge the Senate to pass this legislation so only American citizens are represented in our federal government.”
