WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 (H.R. 2471), an Omnibus spending package to keep the federal government open and provide aid to Ukraine. After voting against this legislation, Congressman Davidson made the following statement:

“The process of this bill is exactly what is wrong with Congress. Democrats continue to play political games and pull procedural stunts in order to pass more massive spending bills that will only worsen inflation and increase our national debt.

While I support the Ukrainian people’s fight for freedom, I cannot ignore that freedom is vulnerable here at home. Democrats have no plan to secure our border or promote U.S. energy independence.

I could not support this process or this spending bill that fails to address the very real issues facing our country. Americans deserve sound money policies that will not bankrupt America.”
