WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Tuesday, the House of Representatives voted on yet another short-term continuing resolution (H.R.6617) that would fund the government through March 11, 2022. The current continuing resolution expires on February 18. After voting against the legislation, Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH) made the following statement:
“I cannot support a spending bill that would enable the Biden administration to attack Americans who refuse to comply with President Biden’s unjust, unconstitutional COVID-19 vaccine mandates. It’s not enough to rely upon the Courts to protect Americans. Congress has it within our power to protect Americans, and we should do so.
While the CR is the most conservative spending level on the table, I opposed that spending level last year, and I remain opposed. In order to gain my vote, there would need to be protections to ensure that funding is not used to support vaccine mandates, and let the Border Patrol do their duty to secure the border.”
