WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today the House of Representatives released two articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH) made the following remarks after the announcement:

I am unequivocally against impeaching President Trump on the articles drafted by the House Judiciary Committee. After holding secret meetings and stacking the deck in public hearings, Americans have yet to see clear and convincing proof that President Trump has done what the Democrats allege. However, they have seen Democrats publicly plot to impeach the President since his inauguration. Even Speaker Pelosi admitted that this impeachment inquiry has lasted two-and-a half-years. First it was Russia, and now it’s Ukraine. I will vote “no” and oppose impeaching President Trump.
