WASHINGTON, DC - In case you missed it, today Congressman Warren Davidson (OH-08) spoke with CNN's Briana Keilar about how he thinks President Trump should use a more targeted approach on trade instead of using sweeping tariffs which cause downstream supply chain disruptions. Davidson said he hopes the President is using his talk about tariffs as a negotiating tactic to get a better deal out of NAFTA which would be a long-term win.

Davidson thinks the U.S. should work with its closest allies and best trading partners to apply pressure on bad actors, who steal intellectual property and use actions like subsidies and dumping to harm American companies and industries. Davidson said uniform tariffs do the opposite and instead unite others who will retaliate against America. Instead, targeted actions could work for America.
