WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) released the following statement supporting the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (H.R. 3003) and Kate’s Law (H.R. 3004) after final passage in the House of Representatives:

“After years of refusing to enforce immigration laws, our illegal immigration problem is worse than ever. At home, Ohio suffers from the opioid epidemic after the previous eight years of lax enforcement.

“These two bills we passed today will make Americans safer, but we must do more. House leadership should bring the Davis-Oliver Act, which would empower local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws, to the floor immediately. It would also prevent the executive branch from refusing to enforce immigration law like with the Obama Administration.”
