Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Warren Davidson (OH-8) released the following statement concerning House action on Iran which supports President Trump’s new strategy to counter the Iranian regime's aggression and particularly its support for terrorism.

“On its face the Iran Deal was supposed to further ‘regional peace and stability.’ Yet, while the United States continues to keep our commitment to the deal, the Iranian regime is actively working against the deal's core objective of peace and stability. These measures represent a clear first step by Congress, working with the President, to counter Iran’s dangerous and destabilizing activities.”

The four bills which passed step up pressure on Iran and its proxies.

The bills are:

H.R. 1698 – Iran Ballistic Missiles and International Sanctions Enforcement Act
H.R. 3329 – Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act
H.R. 3345 – Sanctioning Hezbollah’s Use of Civilians as Defenseless Shields Act
H.Res 359 – Urging the European Union to designate Hezbollah in its entirety as a terrorist organization and increase pressure on its members
