WASHINGTON, DC - Following passage of the H.R. 3354 Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act which funds government programs through FY2018, Representative Warren Davidson issued the following statement.
“Future prosperity in America depends on smart and timely, pro-growth policies which is why I’m proud today’s appropriations bill included my bill to eliminate a costly increase to the death tax. I voted in support of today’s appropriations bill because I believe it makes the necessary increases in defense spending to rebuild the military; rolls back a number of Obama-era job killing regulations including several Dodd-Frank provisions; and finally, takes steps to protect life by not funding organizations like Planned Parenthood. The status quo culture in Washington of delays and missed deadlines must stop and I urge my colleagues in the Senate to do their jobs for the American people and deliver on time.”
NOTE: This is the first time in nearly 10 years that the House has passed all twelve appropriations bills before the end of a fiscal year which ends on September 30. [www.speaker.gov/general/11-conservative-wins-funding-bill]
