WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, the House GOP Steering Committee, recommended Rep. Warren Davidson join the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Following the announcement, Congressman Davidson made the following statement:
“I am honored to be selected to serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee this Congress. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance common-sense policies that keep our national security focused on America’s national interests, counter the Chinese Communist Party’s global influence, and defend the proper Congressional role in foreign policy.
For too long, the legislative branch has surrendered grand strategy to the executive branch. America doesn’t need to participate in all the wars we are invited to join. Our foreign policy often lacks clearly defined objectives, which has weakened our military and eroded public confidence. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure our foreign policy serves the American people and keeps our commitments aligned.”
