WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Warren Davidson took to the House floor in support of individual privacy rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Davidson spoke in support of H.Res. 970, the Department of Justice Compliance Resolution, which insists that the Department of Justice fully comply with requests, including subpoenas, of the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees relating to potential violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

“This is an issue central to our Constitution. Without serious reforms to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the Fourth Amendment will exist as nothing more than a very distant memory. This resolution will help reform FISA and help defend our Constitution,” said Congressman Warren Davidson.
