WASHINGTON, D.C.— Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) issues the following statement on the resignation of United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the assassination attempt of former President Trump.
“Cheatle’s resignation was necessary, but it will not end our questions or her obligation to answer them," said Rep. Warren Davidson. "Security requires excellence, not equity. Director Cheatle failed, tried to excuse the failure with dishonest excuses (like the roof was sloped), and embarrassed herself, the Secret Service, and the American people with her apathetic testimony before Congress.”
