WASHINGTON, D.C.— Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) today issued the following statement on Congress's continuous fight for FISA section 702 reforms:
"Speaker Johnson tried to work with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) to reauthorize FISA. However, President Trump, the American people, and Congress oppose HPSCI's domestic spying legislation. Section 702 of FISA would be reauthorized if it ended warrantless surveillance of Americans and closed the data broker loophole. I encourage the Speaker to work with the Judiciary Committee and pro-privacy members of Congress to protect the 4th Amendment," said Rep. Warren Davidson.
