Rep. Warren Davidson (OH-8) announced Monday that he has joined the House Freedom Caucus, after being sworn into Congress last week. Rep. Davidson released the following statement:

“I am honored to have been extended an invitation to join the House Freedom Caucus and am pleased to announce that I have accepted. I strongly believe in the mission statement of the Freedom Caucus, ‘to provide a voice to countless Americans who feel that Washington does not represent them.’ Having spent the past fifteen years growing small companies, I know firsthand that we can grow our economy with less of Washington and more of Main Street.  Growing up and raising children in Ohio, I know that families and local communities don’t need more input from bureaucrats in Washington.  Lastly, having served as an Army Ranger, I know we should trust maneuver commanders to fight and win our wars, not implement divisive social policies that distract from the very real missions that keep us free and safe.  I look forward to working with my Freedom Caucus colleagues to stand up for open, limited, and accountable government that answers to the American people.  I am confident that together we can contribute to solutions that point to a better way for America.”
