WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Warren Davidson released the following statement today announcing his support for Kathy Kraninger to become Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.

“I am thankful that Director Kraninger has finally been confirmed and is on the job working to protect consumers. There was a different structure under former Director Cordray whose leadership of the CFPB had a very pernicious effect on the economy. I believe that Director Kranigner will follow Mick Mulvaney's efforts to bring about change at the Bureau; and that she will continue working with Congress to restore constitutional governance to CFPB. Ultimately, I think that Director Kranigner will do a great job working to implement the goals of the office and I look forward to working with her.”

Congressman Davidson sits on the House Financial Services Committee which has oversight of the CFPB.
