WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH) voted for the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1790) to continue providing for our nation’s national security. The authorization passed 377-48.

This authorization provides over $700 billion to fund our national defense, including a much-needed pay-raise to the military, upkeep for military bases, creates the U.S. Space Force, and eliminates the "widows tax" by ensuring that surviving widows of service members receive all the benefits that are rightfully theirs.

After the vote, Congressman Davidson said:

“I'm proud to support our troops. While I’d prefer to see some accountability measures placed on defense spending, I’m glad that our military will have the resources it needs to continue defending our freedom.”
