Rep. Davidson on Resolution Censuring Rep. Adam Schiff

October 21, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC—Today House Republicans called for a vote on a resolution “condemning and censuring Adam Schiff, Representative of California’s 28th Congressional District.” The resolution highlights that he misled the American people with respect to the whistle-blower complaint, upon which House Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry.

The resolution, which has 177 cosponsors, including Davidson, was tabled on a party-line vote as the Democrat Majority refused to even consider addressing the abuses of their colleague. Following the vote, Congressman Warren Davidson made the following statement:

It is disappointing that the House voted to table the resolution “condemning and censuring Adam Schiff.” He deliberately and intentionally fabricated a false narrative about a call made by the President. He lied on television about his contact with the whistleblower prior to the complaint.

Millions of taxpayer dollars have already been wasted and too much time has been spent by House Democrats in their attempts to overturn the 2016 election. Partisanship is nothing new in Washington, but the current, serious effort to remove a President from office based upon no evidence that could merit impeachment is something new. It is damaging to the Republic. It needs to stop.
