National Debt & Government Spending

Every dollar that the United States government adds to our national debt to fund today’s spending is a dollar stolen from the next generation.

Washington has a spending problem. The federal government already collects trillions of dollars each year. That should be enough to meet its core obligations. Instead, Democrats keep demanding more spending to fund special-interest priorities at the expense of hardworking Americans.

Reckless spending also weakens the value of the dollar. When Washington borrows without discipline and relies on the Federal Reserve to help finance runaway spending, families pay more for the same basic needs.

I believe Congress must restore fiscal discipline. That starts with cutting wasteful spending and protecting the dollar. Defending freedom requires a federal government that lives within its constitutional limits and stops bankrupting America.
